Our philosophy is based on a real desire and a determination to provide the best quality paints, at very affordable prices with personal service.

We feel strongly that we wish to play a part in the world in which we live. We take care, in many ways, to be responsible in our actions, both in our small part in world environmental health and by making paints that do provide an acceptable environment for you when decorating at home.
In a continuing programme of monitoring and control we have successfully reduced the emissions of waste, reduced use of solvents and have vetted our material suppliers, to see that their methods are acceptable. To check this, we have personally visited the companies supplying more than two thirds of the materials we use in our paints.

To improve your own personal environment we have successfully developed paints that cover really well thereby requiring less coats than ordinary paint.

In addition we have developed excellent water-based alternatives for all the finishes you will need at home. This negates the need for solvent-based paints.

We find that a number of consumers ask if our paint is child friendly and suitable for decorating children's' rooms. The answer is a definite yes, as recently batches of the Acrylic Matt Emulsion and Acrylic Eggshell paints in the range were certified to British Standards BS 5665 Part 3, commonly known as 'Toy Paints Regulations'. This ensures that the dangerous heavy metal contents, including lead and chromium, complies to European standards.

Worth mentioning also, is that the Matt paints are formulated without the use of solvents, so there are no nasty smells during application.

The Little Greene Paint Company has a programme of aid for various Breast Cancer research and support agencies.
