We feel strongly on the importance of environmentally friendly paint and that we should play a part in the world in which we live. We take care to be responsible in our actions and their effects on world environmental health as well as your immediate environment as you paint at home.

Water based paints

Virtually odour-free as they are formulated without the harmful chemicals which can be found in many ordinary paints. Excellent performance properties negate the need for solvent-based paints.

Paints that cover well

If you need less paint that means fewer cans, fewer trucks on our roads and minimal wastage.

Local Manufacture

Producing locally in the UK keeps distribution costs and pollution to a minimum.

Recycling

Our documentation is made from either recycled paper or from paper with FSC certification*. Eco friendly paint tins made from 25% recycled steel, once emptied, wiped and dried, can be safely recycled. *Forestry Stewardship Council

Safe manufacturing

Our factory operates to European Environmental Standard BS EN ISO 14001: 2004. A continuing programme of monitoring helps us reduce waste emissions and use of solvents.

European Standards

All our paints comply with European Commission VOC product directive 2004/42/CE, which limits the VOC content of paints. Our water based paints already comply with the 2010 limits set by the EU.

Safe for Children

Acrylic Matt Emulsion and Acrylic Eggshell paints are safe for painting children’s rooms and furniture. These paints have been tested to British Standards BS EN 71-3:1995, also known as 'Toy Paints Regulations' to ensure that dangerous heavy metal content including lead and chromium, comply to EU standards. Matt paints are non solvent based so there are no nasty smells during application.
