Hi. I've just painted my floorboards with your floorpaint (linen wash) and was wondering if the left over paint would be suitable for the radiator? I've also done the walls with Fired Earth emulsion (sorry it wasn't yours, which was fabulous on the floor) so I was wondering whether that would be suitable too? Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Lynsey. Matt emulsion paints aren't designed for radiators a) because of the heat (it can cause the paint to crack) and b) because of the washability (repeated washing/wiping of a matt emulsion will result in a burnished finish). However, all is not lost! You may be familiar with Little Greene's Ultimatt finish(?) - it has the look of a regular matt emulsion paint, but it's more flexible, completely washable and tough enough for radiators (and even woodwork) too. Hope that helps...

Hi Dawn and thanks for your message

This colour is <a href="http://www.thelittlegreene.com/paints-for-home/colour/polar-blue/" rel="nofollow">Polar Blue</a>, an English Heritage colour from the 1950s.

It's on our current card and is a delightful way to brighten up a bathroom!
